Whew - we are almost done with the head cold that doesn't seem to end. Drake picked it up from the ped's office during his 15 month checkup almost 3 weeks ago, and we are still fighting it off. In fact, I took him back today because I suspected he had an ear infection, which he does. Poor little guy. Anyways, we are almost back to normal around here!
The kids have been so cute together. They have been playing great together. It's tough having little ones so close in age, but now that Drake's a little older, they are such buddies. Don't get me wrong, if he takes something Mia is playing with, she definitely reprimands him! But they can entertain each other for extended amounts of time now, which is so nice for Mommy. :) They both love listening to music, and as soon as I turn it on, Drake looks for Mia so they can hold hands and spin in circles together. Of course Mia just loves it, it's so cute.
Mia's been saying the cutest things lately like, "Mommy, I wish I could play ring-around-the-rosie with you when you were a little girl" and "When I get older and have a baby in my tummy, we can be mommies together!" By the way, she has already named her future baby - Baby Ava. ;) I don't know where she comes up with this stuff.
Oh, and just because you'll probably think this is as funny as I do, one of the reasons I'm updating my blog is because I was getting in trouble from my husband for having a picture of my son with barettes. :)
