We've been busy with our little people as usual. And as usual they keep us laughing. :) Drake learned how to jump a few weeks ago, so he's been jumping all over lately! It seems funny that this is something they have to learn, but it is hilarious when they do. Drake is so proud of himself! The problem is that now he wants to jump off everything. If you're sitting on the ground, he'll climb on top of your legs to jump off, he will jump off steps, anything. Also, he is becoming more like Mia than I would like to admit! Whenever he sees an open door or drawer, he will stop what he is doing to go and close it. At night when we read to him, we have to read all his books IN ORDER (sound familiar?!). First his Bible, then Wheels on the Bus, and then Goodnight Moon. He doesn't allow any deviations - he will throw the book on the ground if it's not the one that goes next. Ha! Why are my children so anal?!?! Okay, don't answer that with some comment about their mommy... :)
And Mia - well, she's Mia. :) She is so funny and so smart. She and Brock have been counting and adding before she goes to bed at night. I know she is retaining it all because the other day Mickey Mouse was on and says, "What's 5 plus 5?" Without hesitating, Mia yells "10!" She's very precise and is quick to point out if you've said something 'wrong'. I was holding a card showing Drake a bird to try to get him to tweet. Mia goes, "Mom, it's not a bird, it's a parrot. Now you're sounding crazy like Nana." Oh, excuuuuse me! Little toot. :) She is a feisty one.
Mia has been loving the pool. She thinks she's such a big girl swimming with her water wings. We are going to try to get her in some lessons later this summer, but for now she's loving the wings! Drake doesn't care much for the water. He'll go in it for a few minutes, but would much rather throw things in and have someone retrieve them just so he can throw them in again.
Here are some recent pics. They are totally out of order! Lots of them are from Memorial Day weekend with my family.

I think this is funny - this is Drake's puppy that he put into timeout - in the same spot where he has timeouts. He was in there 'yelling' at the dog, pointing his little finger at him going, "No, no!" I told you he was like Mia!!

This is a picture of my grandpa and all his great grandkids...

Probably my favorite...

Well, thanks for checkin in on us even though we haven't kept up with the blogging world!!
