Mia's husband

First here are some pictures of Drake. He's the only one lately who will let me take pictures of him, and I'm itching to practice because Brock got me photography lessons for Mother's Day! I don't think you can see it in these, but his peach fuzz is finally starting to grow on top of his head, and all day today he had a little faux-hawk. I love it!!

So on to Mia. Oh Mia. For the past couple of months, she has been talking about her husband. If you ask her what his name is, she usually says 'Quincy.' She plays with him in her toyroom, talks to him before she takes her naps, and is always telling us stories about him. She refers to him as 'my husband' all the time, as in 'My husband is playing in my toyroom right now' and 'I'm just talking to my husband.' Like I mentioned in the last post, she also told me he was 'ador-bulous', as in adorable and fabulous. :)

She has also been saying 'pissed' lately. Now unfortunately this one is entirely my fault. The first time she said it, I about fell over. She was wasting Drake's wipes on her babies (I usually let her have one, but she kept going back for more), so I told her to close the lid. She goes 'Mom, are you pissed?' I was like 'No, I said don't WASTE them.' To which she replied, 'I know, but are you pissed?' Oh my gosh. I told her that wasn't a very nice word and that Mommy shouldn't say that either. So then on Friday, with a grin on her face she says to me 'Mom, I'm pissed at my husband because he spilled coffee on my socks.' Little stinker!

By the way, she drinks coffee on the weekends (isn't that funny?! ) and I'm sure that's where the coffee comment with her husband came from. It cracks me up every time I think about it. Brock makes coffee on the weekends, and before Mia goes to bed, she'll say, 'I wanna watch my cartoons in the morning and drink some coffee.' He puts some decaf coffee and a little creamer in her sippee, and away she goes. It is really funny.

Brock and I (mostly Brock) have been landscaping the front of our house since Monday, and thankfully we are finally done! (Hence the lack of blog posts!) But we had been working until it got dark every night, and of course Mia had to help. Here is her with her little shovel and the entire mound of mulch on the driveway. It was so funny. The mound was like ten times the size of her, but she would still get her little shovel in there and help out. :)

Until next time!

We're still here!

Sorry for the lack of posts. When I get a chance, I'll have to fill you in on Mia's 'ador-bulous' husband, who she constantly talks about. It's late, though, so I will do that later. But I couldn't resist posting this photo of her! While baking, she told me, "Mom, this is fabulous. We are so good at this." :)

Mia the Flower Girl!

This past Friday my cousin Meghan got married (congrats Megs!!), and Mia was the flower girl in the wedding. She was so excited and thankfully did a really good job! We laughed so hard because as she was going down the aisle (super slowly, I might add!), she made sure NOT to drop any of the petals on the runner, strategically placing them along the side. I guess we forgot to tell her it was ok to put them on the runner. :) I do have it on video - if I have enough energy to upload the video this week I will...

A girl's gotta have some fishies before showtime, right?!

Blowing bubbles

Afterwords we visited my grandparents, Mia's great-grandparents...

She had so much fun this weekend, she keeps asking to go back to Meghan's wedding!
