Cracking up... =)

So I am cracking up right now. The other night I mentioned to Mia that we should start putting Drake on the potty before his bath at night. Of course she didn't let me forget, so we dragged out the old potty seat and let him sit on it. It was a novelty to him and he loved it. I'm sure it's because he sees Mia sit on the big potty all the time. So today before naps I took Mia potty, and Drake walked in and picked up his potty seat by the handles to put on the toilet. I thought, alright, what the heck, we'll sit you on here, too. Like I really need anything else to add to the naptime routine! Ha! So I sat him on there, and guess what!?!? He went potty! Ha! I was cracking up. :) Mia and I were clapping and yelling. She was seriously yelling, "I'm so proud of you, buddy!!" He was looking at us like, "What the heck's the big deal?" It was hilarious. Made my day. :) Now I will say they must make special boy potty seats because the one I have seems to be better suited for girls. Ha! I need to talk to some of my friends with little boys... this is definitely unknown territory for me. :)

Mia is her usual funny self. She is obsessed with talking about things in the past, like when she was a little girl, when I was a little girl, etc. She even brought home some pictures of me when I was younger from my mom's house. Today she pulled out an old prom picture (from her 'little baggie from Nana's') of Brock and I. She says, "Mom, I wasn't even here yet when you and daddy were in this picture. I was in heaven with Jesus. And heaven is really far away. It's like 20 minutes." Ha!!!!

Mia got a temporary tattoo from her dentist goody bag. When I put it on, she said, "Oh I can't wait to show daddy my tattoo. He's gonna love it!" Ha! Yes, Mees, maybe when you're 3. But not when you're 18.

It cracks me up she wanted it there on her arm...

Testing it out!

Oh how I love his little blonde head of hair...

So focused playing with his water table

Okay, that's all for now! :)

On our 'A' Game

I've been such a bad blogger lately, sorry. :( I've just been running around with my munchkins trying to keep them busy! They are loving the warm weather. It's a little tough keeping Drake busy outside. All he wants to do is dig in the mulch with his shovel and pour the water from the water table all over himself. They love the park down the street from our house, but we usually have a meltdown when it's time to leave. So it definitely takes a lot of energy to get them outside! I am tired tired tired by the end of the day. :)

Mia has definitely been keeping us on our A game lately. She doesn't skip a beat. Tonight Brock was reading Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and he says, "... lay the town of Chewandswallow" - to which Mia responded, "... the TINY town of Chewandswallow." And she was right. If we're reading a book to her and skip a page, she makes us go back and read the one we missed. If she's getting down from the table, she won't go anywhere unless you make sure her mouth and hands are wiped. If you miss any details, she will surely let you know! It can be exhausting. :)

Drake has definitely been (finally!) saying more things lately. I may have mentioned before Mia has been wanting him to call her Mimi, and this weekend he finally started saying it. She was so excited! Brock had the windows open in the car and the wind was blowing Drake's hair, and he said, "Dada, brrrr". (He says, "brrr" when it's cold) It's so cute to hear him talk. The other thing he says all the time is, "No, no". Hmmm, I wonder where he's getting that!

Well, I don't have any great pictures, just some silly ones.

Yes, he is too old for a pacifier - we're working on it!
I took his pacifier away and he thought it was kind of funny...

...not so funny anymore, he's getting worried...

Now he's just mad :)

Ahhh, thanks mom...

Reading before bed with Dad

This is the craziness that encompasses our day...

Mia says, "Mom! This keeps the hair out of my eyes!"

My little man - he's getting a haircut tomorrow :)
