Here are some new photos we got of our peapods this summer. Enjoy!!
Thanks for coming by!
This is Drake’s new phrase. Every time he sees something big (to him at least), it’s 'huge gigantus.’ Mia’s been making up her own words lately as well, a favorite being ‘chadnots.’ She says it in place of ‘darn it’ or something similar. ‘Oh, chadnots.’ They are too funny.
They’ve really been enjoying each other’s company lately. It’s like they know pretty soon (next week!) Mia will be in school and they won’t be able to play together all the time. I’ll be honest – I don’t know what the heck I am going to do with Drake the 3 days a week while Mia’s in school! They are such playmates, I don’t think I’m going to live up to her for Drake!
She ‘lets him’ watch her play her Leapster, ha!
Some randoms…
With her face painted at Cole’s birthday…
Mia feeding Mason… (this photo is so old – he is so much bigger already!)
Okay, this next one is not for the faint of heart. This is Drake’s new trick. Disgusting! Boys. He never saw anyone do this. One day, he was just like, “Mom! Look!”
One of Drake’s highlights of the summer… a new bike! We got it for him as an early birthday gift so he could use it before it got too cold. Finally, he doesn’t have to ride Mia’s princess bike anymore… (sorry for the crummy phone picture!)
A few while we were wandering the zoo…
We went to the State Fair, and had SO MUCH FUN. The kids loved it. So did we!
Who doesn’t love a little free ice cream?!
Drake kept saying, “The piggies are tickling their mom’s belly!” lol
Oh, and this is our newest addition… AN ANT FARM! I’ve been waiting to get one of these ever since I found out I was pregnant with Mia. It was one of my favorite toys as a kid, and I couldn’t wait until my kids were old enough to have one. Ha! But they definitely didn’t have these cool gel ones when I was a kid! Here it is after the ants were in there just a few hours…
And this is from last night. So cool!! I guess I was a nerdy kid, I loved this stuff. Well, I still do.
Highly recommended!!!
One more exciting bit – we got Drake a big mattress instead of his crib mattress! The first day we had it, he took a 3 hour nap. He hasn’t done that since he was a baby. I’m guessing it’s significantly more comfortable than a crib mattress. :)
Mia has wanted to sleep with him in his new bed the last 2 nights, so they have!! Hilarious. Now I need to re-do his room!
I can’t believe summer is almost over. Thanks for stopping by!
