What a weekend...

Hello? It's Mia!

I bought Mia some play-doh the other day, and I told her I would open it up after I put Drake down for a nap. When I came downstairs, she had her doctor bag out and was trying so hard to cut the box open with the scissors. She kept saying, "This is really tough" :)

Did I mention I can't get enough of this little guy?!

She pulls out her halloween costume from time to time and wears it around the house

Eating Mia's 'Special of the Day'

Sorry for all the stories, but she has been in rare form lately. She'd been asking all last week if I could paint her nails, so finally on Saturday we did. Today she noticed a few chips in the polish while we were in the car. "Hey, you need to fix my nail! You need to fix two nails!" (Two of them were chipped) I told her we would when we got home. As soon as we walked in the door: "Can you please fix my nails?" I said, "How 'bout we fix them after dinner?" to which she replied, "How 'bout we fix them NOW!"

Weekend in review...

The weather has been so gorgeous lately (Mid 60's, low 70's) - taking advantage of it at the park!

Mia is going to be a flower girl in Meghan's wedding in May - here she is modeling her dress!
Mia thinks it's so great when Drake sits next to her. The laundry basket was her idea. He just finished his bath, she was ready to take one...

I knew it was just a matter of time before Mia started asking about the differences between boys and girls. The other day we were changing Drake's diaper...

Sibling love...

When Drake goes down for his morning nap, Mia loves to listen to her 'Mia Music' (a CD where the songs have her name in them) and dance around the family room. She also loves for me to put blankets over the furniture so she can crawl through the tunnels. Here are a few pics...
- At lunchtime... "Mom! This water is warm! I need it to be cold!"
- While on the potty, after I already "turned on the air and closed the door" for her... "Hey! Quit playing in there! I need to be wiped!"
- Again, while on the potty... "Mom! I need a poop book!"
Woo-wee. We are working on manners right now! She really does do a good job with Please and Thank You, but she clearly needs to be reminded sometimes!
One more quick cute story - I bought her this little dress yesterday, and she was trying it on today. She goes, "Oh! I love this princess dress! I'm gonna have to show Daddy!" So sweet. :)

A day at the zoo, oatmeal for Drake!

My little guy, content munching his fingers

Having a blast on the carousel

Trying to get the donkey's attention: "Donkey! Donkey! Over here! Woof, woof!" (we were cracking up...)

Checking out the rhino

When she first saw the giraffe, she said, "Hey! Like Melman!" (the giraffe from Madagascar)

Back at home after a great day
